Eating: How about what I wish I COULD be eating right now, but stupid Mr. Will Power is telling me no. This must be the wall I feared I would smash my poor little pudgey gut into. Run fat girl, run. No, no I won't.
Ok. What would I like to be eating right about now? Let's list.... maybe visual triggers will help the cravings...
*Time seriously does pass*
Ok. It's now 10 minutes later after I've googled everything that I want to be eating right now. And it's really made it worse. That was really really dumb. Now to share my agony, though most of you have a choice... poo poo to yous:
MY LIST OF FOOD CRAVINGS RIGHT NOW:
White Bubbly. Pops in your mouth with white chocolatey sweetness and bubbles...
Give me a chocolate chip cookie (homemade prefereably), heck I'll even take the dough... and I will be your b!tch. Right now anyway... Chocolate chunk... oh chunkiriffic...
A old favourite. Light, crunchy middle with that gloriously thicky and fridge-hard chocolate around the edge. Especially nice over ice-cream... *cries*
Chocolate jam donut. Or Dreamy Donut, lindt chocolate icing with jammy middle. Either or. Have I caved any of you yet?
Now these my friends, are Lindt Macaroons from the Lindt Shop in Melbourne. They are served chilled, so the cream middles are cold, and the macaroony bit is light and crunchy. Flavours I would like right now... milk chocolate and vanilla bean. Save me. I'm having a sugar brain overload.
Wispa Gold. Limited Edition Chocolate. Why the hell don't they keep these around, they are AMAZING. Do you remember Craves? Aero bottom, smooth, light caramello on top, thick chocolate coating. They are heaven in saturated fats.
Double chocolate chip muffin. Warmed up, with butter smooshed on the inside.
Ok. I managed it. So proud. And so sugar deprived.
It's easy right? Just say no. Just. Say. No..... ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Watching: Still on flood watch non-stop. Still not getting over what I'm watching. I just heard the story of the 3 horses that were nearly drowning, with their heads resting on the tiles of a building's roof. Happy ending though - they made it!!! GO HORSES!!!! Then I heard about the 40 horses that drowned in some stable. Those poor poor animals. There must be so many lost, wounded and drowned animals out there, it's so heartbreaking. They would be more lost than us humans right now. How awful would it be to be separated from your beloved family pet - I can't bear to think about it.
It also makes me shudder when I heard that a number of people will need to be fished out of cars that have been sucked in under bridges in the Lockyer Valley. I hope they don't find too many people, that is so tragic.
Listening to: Mr. Harris downstairs watching... ahem... 'Dave Chappelles Block Party' - featuring Mos Def (Mr. Harris is rather fanatical about this dude)... I bought him a ticket to go and see Mr. Def at the Tivoli tonight, which ain't happening now due to the flooding (they ain't bringing no Mos Def into disease infested flood areas, no sir!). They've rescheduled for Australia Day and will be playing at the Hi-Fi. So as a substitute for tonight, Mr. Harris went to our local video store and bought an evenings worth of stuff featuring... you guessed it... Mos Def. Let's see, we have Dave Chapelle's Block Party... god I can't even remember the other ones, there was about 5 movies in total. Mr. Harris did tell me them. They go through one ear and out the other. I hear 'Mos Def' and affectionately tune out. Though my darling husband did think of me and hired out one movie he thought I'd like (and gained brownie points for doing so...) The Taking of Pelham 1,2,3. Looks ok. I just want to see Travolta and his shaved noggin. And beard. I will be watching a late night True Blood tonight for certain. Also can you guess that by the size of my blog already I am avoiding the Block Party? Hehe. Be grateful I am writing more this time!
Ooo helicopter! And it's gone.
Just finished: looking at a preview of 'The Art of Tangled'. Oh my freakin god I want it bad. Yes I'm superficial, but I can't help it. The art is beautiful. Glen Keane (who animated Ariel, the Beast and Tarzan)... the book is FULL of his amazing sketches. Wannit Wannit Wannit... woo woo...
After this, I'm going to: feed my beloved babies. All 4 of them. The 3 fluffy ones and the one hairy one.
One wish for the day:
Two wishes for today. One meaningful, one superficial.
Meaningful wish - for the floods to have never happened. Just a nice onset of soaking rain to help all the crops and the dams. Nothing like what we've had.
Superficial wish (cause I'm allowed): I WANT 'THE ART OF TANGLED'. Please.
"Idiot on the Road" moment: I re-read my last few posts and realised a lot of my blabbing is about bad drivers out there. So I figured why not create a category? Now I've done this I probably won't need to gripe again. Ha.
I was doing 100km in a 100km zone today, in the left hand lane. And there was a ute UP MY ARSE. Took him bloody long enough to figure out that he could GO AROUND ME if he wanted to drive at a stupid speed. Seriously though, having someone tailgate you in the left hand lane? Shame on you arsey driver!
* * * * * * * *
I filled up my car with petrol today because apparently the Gold Coast is going to run out of petrol. *GASP!!!!* A few servos today had actually run out already. It's like a disaster movie, seriously. Everyone is carrying on like idiots. It took me nearly 20mins to get inside the petrol station today to fill up. Had some silly lady in front (in a short, floral dress, she was in her early 50's easily...) drive up and realise she parked too far away from the hose cause her tank was on the other side. Ha. I couldn't help but giggle and be annoyed at the same time. Tsk. Delays, I dunno!
What made me really mad though, was some other silly lady in the servo shop, was loading up with like 6 x 2L cartons of milk. Dude. WE AREN'T GOING TO GET ANY FLOODS. That milk, which could have gone to people who actually desperately need it... IS GOING TO GO ROTTEN. You are just going to use maybe one in the course of a week, and then the rest of it will expire. You will be tipping it down the sink. Shame on you, selfish over-reacting lady. Get a grip. We aren't getting floods. We may be running out of petrol, but we still have cows.
Still urks (erks?) me that people carry on so selfishly. Granted, they are a minor few. But still.
Until tomrorow peeps! Time for dinner - we're having a home sausage sizzle tonight. Fat sangas, onions in bread. Mmmm. Still want chocolate though. Curses....

EDIT: I got over the sugar cravings. Just. Fun times ahead tomorrow!
ReplyDeletei wish i had your will....well ive not been TOO bad. i had 1 white and 1 dark lindt choc ball today,...then Bec came over and ate my mini lindt block of 70% (those little 35g ones) i got 10 of them the other week, ok, probably over a month ago, they were selling the 70%'s for 50c a block! cheap cheap yum yum...so she ate that, and a few lollies from my lolly box which i havent eaten from for over a week, but then...the box was open and i admit...i ate 2 x peach hearts...4 x chicos....1 x friendship ring....2 x strawberry bullet thingys. thats IT, i swear. not too bad, considering the size of the haul that was put in front of me. we were true blooding...doopeeedooooo....
ReplyDeletei have lots of newspaper for you next time youre up in redcliffe :) give me a call when youre heading up, ill try to b home, if not ill leave it for you somewhere you can find it easy.
cant stand the stories being told from the floods. the personal accounts. its so hard to hear but i cant look away. i cant imagine what theyre going through, so close to where i live. there is debris washing up on nudgee and sandgate beaches already, furniture, pontoons, ppls posessions and other people are STEALING it..its ruined, the stuff is no good, ppl have lost everything, and others are STEALING anything that may have possibly been salvagable. makes you sick. just dont want to know what will wash up in the coming days...quite possibly could contain some of those missing people. i hope theyre all found safe and have just been uncontactable, but the sad reality is that we all know it isnt true, that somewhere there are people, we just dont know where, and may never know, those flood waters went so far, who knows...
theres no milk up here either...no fresh, very limited long-life. soy, rice, goat yeh, you can find, no cow milk. i know the trucks havent been able to get through, but you cant tell me ppl had an attact of needing that much milk within 2 days...cleared out the fresh and long lifes. just silly. and NO lactose free milk left at all. so my belly will be feeling great (*sarcasm*) going back to normal milk. eh. unless the farmers manage to be able to milk the cows and get it to the factories and then to the shops in the next few days, which seems doubtful. eh...
i hate tailgaters when there are other lanes free! i had one almost the whole way home from dreamworld the other day, in the POURING RAIN, i think perhaps they were following the headlights, but so friggin close up my ass they would never have been able to stop if they had to. i ended up having to move into the right hand lane a few times, touch brakes etc before they got the hint. i thnk i moved over and slowed right down before they overtook me. friggin annoying, esp in the rain!
eh
ok, im going to bed. my poor baby has a bucket on her head, so its an uncomfy sleep when she decides her head should be on my neck and i cop a bucket in the face.... silly thing...she's getting depressed, you can see it in her face, her mouth, her actions. she hates the bucket but its for her own good. we give her a few 'free times' but have to watch her like a hawk.
ok beddy byes!
