Eating: Spanish Burgers... complete with avo, bbq sauce, lettuce, capsicum, onion, sour cream, triple cream brie cheese. Yes you read me. And it's awesome.
Drinking: Nothing worth commenting on, had a juice earlier. Wah-hey!
Listening to: Nothing again worth commenting on. Traffic, Paul sniffing in the other room, fan whirrrrrrring...
Mood: Refreshed and more relaxed than yesterday.

First day back at work today. Oh blah. Major blah. Didn't want to go, like a kid who didn't want to go to his first day of school. But I went. And it wasn't all that bad. Still would have loved an extra week dawdling around my messy house, tidying here, sorting there... domesticated kind of hoo-ha.
So today, as we all know, it was stuffy and ferally hot. And guess what? Both our air-conditioners decided not to work for us today! OH YAY! The back room air con wouldn't even activate (and is only remote controlled... blast you smart-arse technology!!!). Tried to dissect the controller, but it didn't seem to have a opening anywhere, not even a secret passage. Major furk. The front air con would only blow hot air and that made us feel a bit ill, considering when I stepped outside it was actually a few degrees cooller than inside.
So, first day back at work, and we have to suffer through 8 hours of sweat, delirium and severe loss of concentration and concern for anyone or anything. Pity us?
It is here that I thank my lucky stars that I live on the Gold Coast, and work near the beach. Just a block over actually.
I left work, sweating, skin glistening and sticky from the day's work (inside, I remind you...) ready to totter on home, eat a big cookie with a glass of milk and have a cool shower, listen to my Holosync CD's and sort through my clothes collection. Reasonable plan.
I decided to take the scenic drive home, along the front highway which runs parallel to the beach. Fatal. As I was driving, I felt the significantly cooller air rush through my hair, the smell of the saltiness and sand, and before I knew it I found myself taking a turn into Tallebudgera, parked my car and flew up to the sand dunes.
For some reason the thoughts "FREEDOM!!!!" went through my head. Kinda irrelevant. But goddamn that fresh air was nice. The fresh, ocean air... the sound of the crashing waves, the soft sand coolled by the lowness of the afternoon sun. The perfect solution to a sluggish work day. Just take a drive down to your local beach and take a stroll!
As soon as the ocean water touched my toes I felt instantly better, refreshed and happy. People were out running their dogs - dogs of all shapes, sizes, and stupidity (in a nice way, of course!) and I just took a short walk for about 15 minutes up the beach and back. And it saved me.What the hell was I thinking just going straight home to my hot house? BAH!
Thank you beach, I'm glad you're always there for me when I don't realise I need it so badly.
Afterwards I still carried out my original plan: home, shower, relived to discover my freezer wasn't broken as initially feared (thought still had to throw out a good couple of kilos of meat... boooooo), ate a giant cookie, drank milk, did Holosync CD (blisssssed out...), sorted clothes.... cleaned piglets out, ate Spanish Burgers for tea, watched 'Minute to Win It', decided I hated the host (where the hell did they get him??? A mechanics??), and now here I am, about to write a strongly worded email to somebody (don't worry, it's not you...) and about to head to Bedfordshire.
I have a bug on my arm.
And it's already Wednesday. YES!!
