Mood: Hot. Tired. Bleh. More like drained. Feeling like my skin is crawling with sweat. Which it is. That lovely 'sticky' feeling. I feel horrible. I'm going to have a shower after this. Today has just been an absolutely feral day with the heat. I wish I didn't have to rely on air conditioning so much... boooo... synthetic air...
Eating: So proud. I haven't wanted much all day today. Not that I'm starving myself, cause I'm not. I'm just learning not to revolve my day around my mealtimes. Lunch was the last thing I scoffed... lovely tuna sushi! Velly nice to the usual salmon sushi I get. Yes, there is a difference. And I'm still killing 2 omega-3 birds with one stone with the variety. MY LIFE IS AWESOME! Dinner tonight will be bit fat-arse sausages (fresh from the butcher, bloody awesome)... with onion gravy, cheesy mash and vegies. And baked beans. Because that goes so well with the mash. Don't knock it till you try it people.
Drinking: ...
Watching: Will be watching 'The Last Airbender' later after tea. Have been wanting to watch it for a while, I do love the tv series, excellent animation. Looks like anime but it ain't. Clever Americanised hybrid.
Listening to: Sweat dripping off my nose. Not really. But that's how it feels.
Just finished: Oh my god. Filling out all my 'official name change' letters and forms. So much frickin' hassle UGH!!! I went and got 15 certified copies of my marriage certificate done today, so totes happy that I could get it all done tonight and ship them off never to have to worry about them again. Wrongo. Realised tonight that some forms need old ID to go with it. So tomorrow it's back to the copies - copying my lisence, my medicare card, my bank card... GRRR!!! Isn't a marriage certificate enough? Plus, on top of this crappola, I have to annoyingly go into the banks, Medicare and QLD Transport to do it in person, cause they don't do this stuff over the phone or online. LAMO! And that's not LMAO. I wish I were.
Let's see I did Vodafone, Optus, E-toll, ATO, Fly Buys, RACQ and Sunsuper. Phew! What a bloody effort. Will be worth it though. Worth the online kit I bought for $30 to take care of all the address finding and form finding. Thank you... www.easynamechange.com.au
After this, I'm going to: have a cool, cleansing shower to rid my body of sweat grime.
One wish for the day:
For all my name-change forms to have filled themselves in. The kit has made it easy, I hate to think what it would have been like if I did it all myself. Horror!!
"Idiot on the Road" moment: Not in a car today actually. Just on my way home up Whistler Drive, some dude with his car parked on the left hand side has his door wide open, coming right into my lane. And him standing out there too. Um. Idiot? Look at what's coming maybe? I had to go right over into oncoming traffic (which thankfully wasn't there...) to get around him. Should have just ran straight into his door. That would have been awesome.
Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh I want to tell everyone about my awesome weekend but my patience in this heat is very short right now, so I will give a nice little rapid overview. It truly was an awesome, packed weekend with sister Sezza.
SATURDAY:
- Slept in. Booya.
- Went op-shopping for a few hours, got a whole heap of awesome tops. Got about 15 pieces, new style here I come! We're going for the 'skirt top' look this summer. Short sleeves (not a tight sweat pit sleeve in sight!), tight around the boobs, and then a skirted effect to hide the gut. Not that that was my aim, I don't really care. But I love the style of these and I am nice and comfortable in them. So I loaded up on some lovely tops, very happy!
- Went to cole and gathered ingredients to make a batch of homemade cookies
- Went home, made massive batch of AMAZING Peanut Butter Choc Chunk cookies. TO DIE FOR.
- Went for a jog around the block... oh my. Yes you read right. My legs are still hurting today. Gotta work my way up to this new thing...
- Sezza came down around 6pm in the end, after a delay up in Redcliffe. She brough with her a little, furry bride. SODA!!! Ruskii and Soda are now united!!! Ruskii was so overly excited to see her he couldn't help but just jump on her when we popped her down. She was loving the attention but wasn't afraid to put the overly excitable little ball-less piglet in his place when he got too rough. Go Soda! I am happy to report that since Saturday they have been napping together, eating in the dryfood bowl together (and that for any 2 piggies is a rariety! No piggy dare shares the precious dryfood!!), and eating together. Ruskii has calmed down a lot and just sneaks in a little bum sniff every now and again when he can. I think he knows that Soda is blind and tries to get away with being cheeky. However, they are totally besotted and it's so lovely to have them together finally. No more lonely piggies!
- Mr Harris came home with Chinese dim sims and spring rolls so we snacked on those, and started up an evening of sparkling wine, Wii and fried egg sandwiches. Mr Harris crashed early but Sezz and I pressed on till 1:30am, giggling like idiots, going for short walking roadtrips to the end of the street and back, hi-fiving a little too much with every small achievement in Wii games... and soooooooo much Mariokart... so so much... we totally sucked. The fried egg sandwiches, complete with far too much grated cheese, was more or less organismic at that time of night. Perfect drunken munchies cure.
SUNDAY:
- Slept in again. Excellent.
- Got some fresh bread and made up some more egg sandwiches - perfect munchies cure, also perfect HANGOVER cure. Feeling ok though.
- Packed up and headed off to DREAMWORLD for the day!! Finally braved the Giant Drop, and I was turned. Scared all in the lineup, scared up the top, then a moment of serenity came over me as I was looking out over the beautiful view, and finally I was over the fear. It was GREAT!!!!! Dunno what happened, but I will be going on that ride again next time!! WHAT A BLAST!!! As we arrived at Dreamworld late we only managed like... 5 rides... Motorcross Motorbikes, Giant Drop, Tower of Terror II and the Claw. Ok so thats 4. Pretty poor show eh?
- Left Dreamworld at 4pm and headed to Robina where we watched 'Tangled' - yes, again for me. First time for Sezza. I was so hoping she loved it. And she DID. Yeshhhhhhhhhh!! So so good, can't get over how good it is. Find the male lead character hot, which is disturbing. Ate lots and lots of popcorn.
- Came home with Sezz at 7pm and made fresh spaghetti bolognise, with Latina Fresh pasta. It makes such a different. I really want some now actually. But sausages it is.... boo hoo. Yes, so bolognaise topped with mozerella cheese... mmmm....
- Sezz packed up her stuffs and headed home around 8:30pm. What a full on day!!! So bugger and tired.
Speaking of buggered and tired, I am. So I'm off. Dinner is calling.
~ Peace, Love & Mungbeans ~
